Thursday Travel: Valencia, Spain.

In Valencia, preparations for the famous Fallas de Valencia festival have already begun. The installation of the largest Fallas figure is underway.

This year’s main sculpture is a 27-meter-tall figure of Charlie Chaplin dressed as a soldier from his satirical anti-war film “Shoulder Arms.”

Created by artists Alejandro Santaeulalia and Vicente Llàcer, the project is titled “Hope.”

The message behind the sculpture reminds us that war has never been a good path, and that even darkness can be transformed into joy, color, and peace.
