Should you buy a Travel Insurance?

If you ask me, should I buy travel insurance? My answer will be Absolutely Yes! When you are young and healthy, you probably don’t even think about it or are absolutely sure you don’t need it. Nothing going to happen?! Right? More experienced travelers or people of a certain age, probably purchase it. Personally, withContinue reading “Should you buy a Travel Insurance?”

Tips for first time visiting Colosseum.

The Colosseum is an iconic symbol of Rome, beautiful, powerful and historical. It was the largest and absolutely outstanding amphitheater in the Roman world. It’s one of the most famous sights in Italy and a very popular tourist destination.  The Colosseum was build in 1st century CE and commissioned  by Emperor Vespasian of the Flavian dynasty as a gift to the Roman people. Later, his son Titus openedContinue reading “Tips for first time visiting Colosseum.”

Tokyo: What Airport to choose?

Planning a trip is an absolutely thrilling thing for me, but after picking the desirable destination, there is more serious research and the necessary preparation to do.  The next step will be choosing a hotel and flight tickets. It might look easy, but sometimes not really, especially if you have the select between airports and you don’tContinue reading “Tokyo: What Airport to choose?”

My travel essentials: What I take on the trip and not go without.

My young friend was preparing for her vacation. She was very excited and there was so much euphoria that we all got involved and became very enthusiastic: giving advice on what to take on the trip, choosing dresses, hair, nails and so many other women’s things.  Then I was thinking about what I usually take on my trip. WhatContinue reading “My travel essentials: What I take on the trip and not go without.”

Art in Minneapolis and around the world.

Minneapolis is a large modern city and the capital of Minnesota, United States.  Even in this dynamic Metropolis, I felt good and comfortable during our visit. Needless to  say, that Minneapolis is a popular tourist destination.  The Minneapolis and St. Paul are Twin Cities and full of unique things to do and see.  The Minneapolis skyline looks so impressive. It has 190 completed  high-rise buildings and 39  of them taller than 300 feet (91 m). The highest building in Minneapolis is the 57-story IDS Center (241 m), designed by architect Philip Johnson. Another two tallest buildings are the Capella Tower (236 m) and the Wells Fargo Center (236 m).  The city offers beautiful parks, amazing nature and zoo. Also, Minneapolis is an art city and center of folk, funk music, museums, ballet and theatres.  Some cities have a recognisable symbol: Eifel Tower — Paris, Colosseum  — Rome, Big Ben — London, Red Square — Moscow andContinue reading “Art in Minneapolis and around the world.”

Canadian Rocky Mountans: explore, amaze and enjoy

Life is not easy in an “urban jungle,” and it is just filled with monotonous days, stress, street noise and bustle.  Escaping from the city and being in the park always brings me great enjoyment. Only in nature I can rest, get harmony, emotional balance and recharge.  My favorite season is fall, but I can find beauty all year around: winter — white and fluffy, spring — goose is coming back, and everything is becoming alive, summer — green and sunny, autumn — colorful and peaceful.  I also enjoy the mountains. They are so powerful and inspiring.   When I was standing on the top of the mountain in Jasper and looked at the stunning panorama… ah… that took my breath away… so impressive.  We had an unforgettable experience when we visited the Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks in Banff and Jasper.  But, enough lyrics. It’s time to share my travel tips.  Travel tips:  Comfortable shoes and a warm jacket or hoody. No matter what season you are going to the Rocky Mountain Parks, you will need warm clothes and comfortable shoes. This is must-have clothes. (I wasn’t prepared.) Pass to the park  All visitors must purchase the pass to entrance the park and it’s not the same that you  probably already bought for the park.  You have to buy a pass at the park entrance. You will need to pay for each person in the vehicle for the number of days you will be  staying in the park.  The cost for a daily pass is $10.   Accommodation.  Book your hotel in advanceContinue reading “Canadian Rocky Mountans: explore, amaze and enjoy”

Leuven is a gorgeous Belgium city. My dreams came true: Paris.

In Soviet Union most of people couldn’t travel outside the country. It was so normal for us that I didn’t even think about it. I never dreamed of going to another country until my French teacher went to Paris and came back with so many incredible stories and pictures. She talked about people, architecture, art,Continue reading “My dreams came true: Paris.”
