La Finca más Estrecha de Europa, or the Narrowest Building in Europe, is a charming architectural gem located in the heart of Valencia, Spain. This unique building has captivated visitors and residents.
The Narrowest Building in Europe is located on Placa de Lope de Vega, in Valencia’s historic El Carmen neighborhood, a vibrant area famed for its narrow winding streets, colorful buildings, and lively atmosphere. The building itself is just 107 centimeters wide at its narrowest point, earning it the title of the narrowest residential building in Europe.

Even with a small size, the Narrowest Building in Europe has a rich history dating back to the 19th century. It was originally designed as a passageway between two streets, providing pedestrian access between the bustling Plaça Lope de Vega and Carrer de Flassaders. Over the years, the passageway was transformed into a residential building, with several floors added to accommodate multiple tenants.
Today, the Narrowest Building in Europe serves as a symbol of Valencia’s architectural diversity and innovation.
If you’re visiting Valencia, don’t miss the opportunity to see the Narrowest Building in Europe and explore the historic El Carmen neighborhood. In my opinion, this is the hidden gem of Valencia and a must-see architectural landscape.

It’s hard to imagine living in such a space! Maybe if you were very small!

It must be very hard, but perhaps people in Europe used to live in small apartments. 🤷 Here in North America we are very spoiled with space….. Huge shopping malls, parks, parking etc…. But this tiny building is definitely hidden gem I would say.

That is a skinny building Angela, even skinnier than the Sam Kee building in Vancouver’s Chinatown at 150 cm. Have a good evening. Allan
