I never liked to do surveys, and usually don’t even bother. But only now when I started my blog, I understand how important it might be for some businesses, blogs etc. Do surveys and analyzing answers helps to understand audiences and make changes for improvement.
My blog just celebrated a 1- year anniversary and I thought maybe it was not a bad idea to start my new blogging year from a survey.
I would like you to ask a couple of questions and I would highly appreciate it if you could find a couple of minutes to write comments.
- If you could change anything on my blog, what would you do?
- What other content or topics would you like to see on the Suitcase Travel blog?
- Do you have any other comments or suggestions about how to make this blog more interesting?
Please feel free to write comments, criticize and give me advice. It is important to me because I’m still learning.
Thank you for your valuable feedback!
Hi Angela. I feel your blog offers a good mix of commentary and travel posts. Trying to comment on how someone else should improve their blog is difficult. But a few thoughts for blogging success likely apply to us all 1) Blog about what you know or what interests you. This will make your posts more personal and easier. 2) Blog in a similar style to how you would talk. 3) Ask your readers questions (which you have done here). 4) Engage with your readers. That does not mean like or comment on everything and it does not all have to be agreeing with the poster. 5) Have fun. If posting feels like a chore, the posts will show it. Stay well, stay happy and keep posting. All the best Allan

Firstly, Happy Bloggiversary, Angela! I’m surprised, I would have thought this blog was over a year old, you seem to do a fantastic job with it. I’m afraid my feedback is probably going to be a bit rubbish :
1. There’s nothing I’d change about the blog itself or your content. All I’d say is maybe add your social media buttons at the top or down the side somewhere so people can easily spot you on Twitter, Instagram etc.
2. Hmmm, I quite like the idea of tip-related posts, like tips for finding travel discounts, tips for packing lightly, etc.
3. I love it as it is and I think you should write whatever you wish because it’s your blog (cheesy but true!)
💜💙💚💛

Happy blogversary! Here’s my feedback:
1. I wouldn’t change anything about the content. It’s amazing! Although, sometimes I feel it’s a little hard to engage with it, so making your writing a little more engaging is one of my suggestions.
2. I already love what you’re doing! Keep it up!
3. To make it more interesting, the same point I said above.
Have a lovely day!

Thank you for taking time to answer my questions and for your honest feedback.
Writing is my field for improvement. I know that and I was waiting for a comment. English my second language and sometimes it’s hard to think and write in English because languages is mixing. I use several programs for checking grammar, but I know there spots that people just simply don’t say like this. I will try to improve as much as I can. Thank you very much for your feedback again! 👍💜

You’re welcome! You do write very well for someone whose English is a second language. Yeah, grammer programs can really fall short on a lot of things. Have a lovely day! 😊

1) I don’t think I would change anything with the layout, or how you are writing….is awesome.
2) I would LOVE to see a post or two about travel tips that you’ve learned over the years. Maybe, travel tips that cut across continents. Meaning that apply everywhere. I am taking a trip to London, for the first time, next year, and then will head to Japan, and India, in the next two years respectively. And, I could use any and all travel tips.
3) Nope. I love your site.
Congrats Angela on the anniversary!!

Hi Angela, I think it’s very humble for you to ask for feedback on your lovely blogs and being a beginner I wouldn’t see myself qualified to offer any advice – I think you could advise me instead LOL. Personally, I find writing is an expression from your heart – it’s a mixture of your life and experiences, likes and dislikes, hopes and fears, thoughts and dreams (even if you didn’t realise it!). So, no matter what anyone might say, as long as you’re true to yourself, then that’s the main thing. It’s brave to write and put it out there, so celebrate every word and just keep right on writing, we love it 🙂

You do a nice job, Angela! One bit that almost makes me not visit: That pesky newsletter pop-up. And I can’t ignore it. I have to find the X and close it.
But, it didn’t pop up this time. Maybe you’ve already done away with it.

I changed settings. Sorry if it was very annoying. I’m still learning and thanks a lot for pointing on it.

I saw that! At the end is perfect. And I understand these pop-ups are considered highly effective in building an email list.

Hi Angela, I love reading your blog and look forward to it very much, I wouldn’t ask you to change anything. I love your style and relatable. Every person is different and might like different things about you but you are essentially a likable person and that comes though your writing.
I find One thing that helps in shaping my posts is interacting in the chats. I find that also very rewarding.
It does depend on what your aim is..
Are you wanting to be a business eventually or are you wanting to share yourself through blogging. And only you can answer this question. All the best, stay blessed. 😊💐

I will try chatting more, I just shy 🤭. Yes, you are right! I blog more for fun, making money on it is not my goal at all, but I want to do good quality blog and contents. 🙂 And my curiosity makes me try marketing staff and etc. Learning something new is fun for me too.
Thanks again for your opinion. It’s very, very valuable for me.
Have a nice weekend!💗

I’ve been off for a few weeks with personal stuff, so just catching up… I always enjoy your posts. The travel posts I like the most are ones that have some personal experience or reaction, rather than where to stay or eat. You seem to have a nice mix in that regard. I like to learn something new about a place, even one I don’t expect to ever visit. It’s all good!
